Welcome to Current Topics in Biochemistry 2025 (CurTo 2025)

The Current Topics in Biochemistry Symposium is back for its fifth edition! Organized by the Graduate Program in Biochemistry at UFSC, CurTo 2025 aims to promote exchange across scientific disciplines and highlight recent advances in biochemistry. The event fosters collaboration among graduate students, researchers, and professionals in the field.

This year’s program will feature: Lectures by invited speakers; Oral presentations; Poster sessions

Topics will include:

• Bioenergetics and metabolism

• Molecular and environmental toxicology

• Structural biochemistry

Abstract submission deadline: September 15th

* Spots are limited due to the auditorium’s capacity. Make sure to secure your registration even before submitting your abstract. Only abstracts from researchers/students registered for the event will be accepted.

In addition, we are proud to present the second edition of our scientific photography contest and exhibition, “Curto Art”, celebrating science through an artistic lens.
